Wiltshire's listings split between Salisbury, the cathedral city famous for its spire and nearby Stonehenge, and Swindon, the railway town further north, each currently down for a single venue. Neither has pulled ahead of the other despite Salisbury's much higher profile as a visitor destination.

Swindon sits roughly midway between London and Bristol on a major transport corridor, while Salisbury draws a steady flow of visitors for reasons that have little to do with head spa treatments specifically. Given how far apart the two towns sit within the county, booking whichever is closer is likely to be more practical than comparing them directly.

Salisbury's cathedral close, one of the largest in England, sits at the heart of a city that predates Swindon by centuries; Swindon itself only took shape once the Great Western Railway built its works there in the 1840s. Salisbury's cathedral spire, the tallest in the country, remains the more obvious draw for most visitors passing through.
